PRJankari's has its root in 2005 when founder Loknath Swain was working with Greenpeace India in Mumbai with a responsibility to liaise with corporate for its individual contributed fund raising programme. He faced problems in reaching out to key-contacts in the corporate community. To address the problem, he started searching the Internet for a relevant solution.

He is a former journalist of leading newspapers and television channels from Bhubaneswar i.e. Sambad as its correspondent and sub editor, Times of India Orissa page as a regular contributor, OTV as its Business Reporter and Two Doordarshan news programme Ajira Khabar and Orissa Today as producer and correspondent. His last assignment was with BAG as its Bhubaneswar reporter when it was acting a news agency for Star News. A journalist feels restless when he leaves media and probably searches to return back. Hence, this Bhubaneshwar journalist start exploring the world of possibilities with Internet, the new media! Being with Greenpeace, with a friend Sourav Sarkar, he launched a portal called (it is now closed) to bring promotion schemes and offer news of local shopping malls. Later, he took up assignments in IITBombay in Industrial Design Center (IDC) with an intention to learn technologies . The IITBombay campus helped this Bhubaneswar journalist for required technology learning. Later his association with gizmos and gadget seller portal as its Content and PR Head gave him a 360° exposures to Internet marketing .

In Barcamp Mumbai, an event of unconference where Loknath was involved, some start up requested him to train them in PR due to his journalistic background. He preferred to train them as volunteer in a friend's hostel room in IITBombay campus. The training benefited people. It encouraged him to take the entrepreneurial route. In July 2009, he was approached by a friend from a project in Computer Science Department of IITBombay to deploy a software in some retail shops. Loknath organised some of us and implemented it, which also included a portal where people can buy from Kiranas through its Online portal. This gave us an opportunity to be organised as a team. The project got over as its duration ended. The process helped us to emerge as a team.

Here, our company - PRJankari Digital Marketing Consultancy took birth in January 2009.
